I began practicing law in 1974. I filed my first lawsuits in Cuyahoga and Portage Counties that year, and since then have represented clients in twenty-five of Ohio's eighty-eight counties. In the mid -1990's, I realized that I had enough experience that I could teach other attorneys. In 1996, I began working with the Academy of Continuing Legal Education, and in 1997, I became the Academic Director of the Academy. |
My responsibilities as Academic Director are to design programs of instruction that will be useful to attorneys in small offices with general practices, to identify topics of current importance, and to recruit instructors who are qualified to teach those topics. Since 1997, the Academy has presented programs in traffic law; general criminal law; domestic relations law; personal injury and insurance liability law; probate, estate planning, and long-term care law; foreclosure and real estate litigation law; and Ohio election law. |
I personally have been approved by the Supreme Court of Ohio, Office of Continuing Legal Education, to teach "Defense of DUI," "Defense of Foreclosure in the Court of Common Pleas," "Litigating the Foreclosure Case," and "Organization of County Political Parties" at different programs of the Academy of Continuing Legal Education from 1997 to 2010. |
